As a maritime captain, I've spent decades navigating oceans where success depends on preparation, situational awareness, and understanding changing conditions before they become emergencies. At sea, every voyage begins with a risk assessment. We evaluate the best-case scenario, but we also prepare for the worst. It only makes sense to apply the same mindset to the planet we all share. Whether discussing geophysical changes, solar activity, ocean circulation, climate trends, emerging technologies, or historical mysteries, our goal is not to promote fear or certainty—it is to encourage informed awareness. Prepare for the worst. Hope for the best.
