After studying Marine Transportation and International Business at Texas A&M University, his career spans decades across both media and maritime industries. Rich co-founded Kawaii Music Productions in Hollywood, California, where he gained firsthand experience in music production, creative marketing, and the rapidly evolving digital media landscape. During the early .com era, he also developed websites for businesses, giving him an early foundation in online branding and internet technology.

Throughout his maritime career, Rich has remained at the forefront of technology. As a professional captain, he has operated some of the world's most technologically advanced offshore vessels, working with sophisticated automation systems and integrated bridge technologies while leading crews in demanding offshore environments.

Bringing together these diverse experiences in media production, management, and real-world operational leadership, Horizon Watch can help local businesses strengthen their visibility and marketing, while also producing educational and documentary content covering maritime subjects, current research and local interests.
